Meet Michelle

MA, CLC, CHC, Wellbeing Coach

Michelle chose health and life coaching because she knows how painful it is to feel that your health and your life are out of your control. In addition to worrying daily about what clothes would fit, she had no energy, didn’t like to exercise, and had no interest in cooking for herself. In her late 30’s Michelle began noticing the pattern of weight gain and self-loathing, negative self-talk and poor decision-making that was keeping her from the life she had dreamed of for herself. However, it wasn’t until after age 50 that her journey to change her relationship with food and with her body began. Michelle spent the next ten years challenging her own beliefs and stepping outside her comfort zone in order to ensure she would not repeat the mistakes of the past. It worked! Her mission now is to help other women improve their health, reduce stress, and create a life they love.

Michelle calls Portland, Oregon “home.” Michelle’s educational background includes a B.S. in Rhetoric from University of Oregon and an M.A. in Organizational Communication from Marylhurst University.

Michelle moved from Oregon in 2018 to join her best friend and partner Garry as his work transferred him to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. When not coaching, Michelle enjoys creating art, SCUBA diving, and wine tasting.

Before becoming a Wellbeing Coach, Michelle was a talented Organizational Communications and Leadership Development Consultant.  Curing her 30-year career, she worked both internally and externally with large and small organizations that included high-technology, manufacturing, retail, and education. Michelle started her career as a human resources generalist and worked in virtually every area of HR developing and building her expertise.

Michelle specialized in leadership development and was regarded by her clients as a trusted partner. Organizations she has worked for over her career included Comcast, Intel, RadiSys, and ConAgra.  Additionally, Michelle is an accomplished educator in both academic and business settings.
